Veterans Injured in Crash Near Sequim

A van carrying military veterans struck a tree on Highway 101 near Sequim Bay State Park last Friday. Passenger Howard LeRoy Fisher sustained fatal injuries and passenger Daniel Lee Hendrickson was hospitalized in serious condition.

James Walter Paul, the driver, was also injured. He does not recall what caused him to leave the road. The accident occurred at the precise location where another accident occurred just sixteen days previously. Alcohol and drugs were not factors and the accident's cause is still unknown.
